Charcuterie
(Learn to Woodburn)

Gather your friends and family and join me for a fun private learn to woodburn session! or take a look at my Instagram page for up to date happenings in your area.

Each participant will leave with their own woodburned Charcuterie board.

Create a beautiful Woodburned Design on a Maple or Cherry Wood (live edge, food safe) cutting board while learning the basics of woodburning.

This is an introductory class teaching the basic tools and techniques of Woodburning using the Walnut Hallow variable temperature versa tool.

This class will discuss safety, temperature controls, proper holding and burning techniques, tips and their uses, as well as discussions on various transferring processes. All supplies and materials will be supplied for this four hour session.

Choose from several of our fun and forgiving learn to burn images.

All template will be supplied during the session.

Intermediate to Master Class

Create a beautiful Design on your choice of surface (basswood, cherry, maple and more) while continuing to build skills and techniques of woodburning.

This is an intermediate class intended for students who either practice woodburning or have already taken the introductory class.

In this session, you will learn shading and textures to help your woodburning pop! We will focus on creating depth through various shading techniques, as well as, creating texture and pattern using the Walnut Hallow variable temperature versa tool or a Razortip Woodburning System.

Class offerings include:

Calligraphy (3 hour session)

Intermediate techniques and texture (3 hour session)

Music and Movement(3 hour session)

Intro to Razortip tools and techniques(2 x 2 hour session)

Mandala burning (2 x 2 hour session)

Realistic landscape or Portrait (master class) (2 x 2 hour sessions)

All materials will be supplied for class. If you have your own supplies, please notify upon booking.

Creative Meditative Session

Are you feeling stressed or simply need to unwind? When was the last time you enjoyed what you were doing so much that you lost track of time and then suddenly realized three hours had passed?

Create a beautiful design on your choice of surface while getting into the process and tranquility of burning.

This is an intermediate session intended for students who either practice woodburning or have already taken the introductory class. No artistic skill necessary!

In this session you will follow a series of readings and prompts to create a fluent, intuitive and encapsulating organic design using either the Walnut Hallow variable temperature versa tool or a Razortip Woodburning System.

All materials will be supplied for this three hour session. If you have your own supplies, please notify upon booking.

2 -6 students, each pay $75

Continue your Design on your choice of surface.

This is a session intended to add more time to previous sessions

or provide help and support with your own project.

All process tools will be supplied including either the Walnut Hollow Variable temperature Versa Tool or the Razor Woodburning System. As well as sandpapers, transfer papers and more.

If you have your own supplies, please notify upon booking.

Various styles of charcuterie boards and basswood rounds

are available for additional charges and must be chosen prior to the session.

Explore introductory woodburning techniques while creating your own

charcuterie board, coaster or spoons.

In this 2.5 to 3 hour session, guests will either choose from a variety of templates

or receive a step by step technique walkthrough using one template image.

Both options focus on individual exploration of shading, pattern and texture.

Woodburning has endless possibilities when it comes to creating images, similar to drawing with pencil on paper. Woodburning, however, requires various different techniques to create texture, lines and tonal values and is a much slower process.

Join Pyrography Artist Heather Martin of FireWork Designs to begin or expand your knowledge of woodburning while you create your own usable, giftable charcuterie board using a Walnut Hollow Versa Tool (variable temperature)

Heather will guide you through various woodburning techniques to incorporate texture and interest to your piece. You will also learn about recommended woods and other helpful hints as you work your way through this immersive process.

It’s always fun to learn with a friend, with no experience in drawing or woodburning, this makes the perfect class to relax and enjoy the afternoon together!
